The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and commercially minded Company Lawyer to join our leadership team at Seriti Green, a leading renewable energy company focused on the development, financing, and operation of clean energy projects. The ideal candidate will be a senior associate (or equivalent) from a top-tier law firm, bringing a strong background in corporate law, project finance, and complex transactions.

This role will involve acting as a trusted legal advisor to senior management, overseeing legal and regulatory compliance, and providing transactional support on project development, acquisitions, financing, joint ventures, and commercial agreements. The candidate must demonstrate the ability to balance risk with commercial objectives, work across multiple jurisdictions, and manage external counsel effectively.

Key responsibilities include:

Corporate & Transactional

  • Lead and negotiate complex corporate and financing transactions, including project finance, M&A, joint ventures, and shareholder arrangements.
  • Draft, review, and manage transaction documentation, including SPV structures, PPAs, financing agreements, and security packages.
  • Oversight of the EPC, and O&M documents and process.
  • Provide legal input into deal structuring, risk allocation, and transaction strategy.
  • Advise on corporate governance matters and board-related requirements.

Project Development & Finance

  • Support the development and financing of renewable energy projects (solar, wind, storage, and hybrid).
  • Manage project documentation and ensure compliance with regulatory and permitting frameworks.
  • Work with lenders, investors, and counterparties to close complex financing transactions.
  • Advise on cross-border financing, foreign investment, and tax structuring in coordination with external advisors.

Risk, Compliance & Regulatory

  • Ensure compliance with applicable energy, environmental, and corporate regulations.
  • Oversee corporate policies, risk management frameworks, and contract governance processes.
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments in energy markets, advising management on impacts and opportunities.
  • Manage disputes and litigation (where applicable), engaging external counsel where necessary.

Leadership & Collaboration

  • Act as a business partner to senior executives and project teams, ensuring legal advice is commercially aligned.
  • Manage relationships with external counsel, ensuring cost-effectiveness and quality delivery.
  • Support investor relations and financing processes, including due diligence and disclosure management.
  • Mentor and develop junior legal/compliance team members (if applicable).

Education & Experience

  • LLB / JD (or equivalent law degree); admission as an attorney/advocate/solicitor in a recognized jurisdiction.
  • Minimum 6–8 years’ post-qualification experience, with a strong track record at a top-tier law firm (senior associate or equivalent).
  • Specialist expertise in corporate law and project finance, ideally within the energy, infrastructure, or natural resources sectors.
  • Demonstrated experience in renewable energy or large-scale infrastructure transactions preferred.
  • Solid knowledge of cross-border financing structures, security arrangements, and equity investment frameworks is advantageous
  • Proven ability to negotiate at senior levels with lenders, investors, and government authorities.
  • Strong project management, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Experience in renewable energy, project finance, or regulatory law is highly advantageous.
  • Highly organized
  • Proficient in the use of Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Typing accuracy and efficiency controls.
  • Driver’s License
